Grenada

Grenada, the Isle of Spice, is a small island country that lies in the Eastern Caribbean Sea. It’s capital, St. George’s, was named after Grenada’s founder, Saint George in 1650. Over decades, Grenada has become a port that exports different products such as cacao, nutmeg and bananas. Some of their local industries are sugar processing and rum distilling.

Even though Grenada is small, it is widely known for their abundance of spices, beauty and friendly people. The people of Grenada have created an outstanding number of acts of kindness that led to a statue known as the ‘Christ of the Deep’ that was placed in the town of St. George as an expression of gratitude. If you visit Grenada today, you will notice how friendly the Grenadian people are.
